Our local mountain: Hike to Speiereck: 2411m

The starting point is again our house. Hike to the old lift in Mauterndorf, take trail 745 and then join the Natur pur trail. Follow the path until you reach the 4-er Speiereck Gipfelbahn cable car or the Trogalm. There you can decide how you want to continue the loop. Either you take the route via the Trogalm lakes to the Großeck and then along the markings to the Speiereck or you hike to the Sonnenbahn, Peterbauerkreuz and then to the 2411m high summit of our local mountain.

If you prefer a more leisurely pace, hike from our front door to the ski centre, take the cable car to the Panoramaalm and then choose the path via the Großeck to the Speiereck summit cross.

For the well-trained, it is worth making a detour to the Speiereck-Halterhütte.
